People have pondered for years the question of why this road through Bucks County, PA, is called Street Road. Many speculated it was named for someone with the surname Street. The issue is finally settled at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pennsylvania_Route_132. "Street" used to mean "paved road," and this route was a road that was paved very early in the 20th Century, and was in essence referred to as the paved road.
