Dan Houser House
70 Willow St.
Brooklyn, NY 11201
United States
40° 41' 56.8176" N, 73° 59' 42.018" W

Truman Capote had an apartment here from 1955 to 1965. His essay, "A House on the Heights," is about the place. He wrote part of "Breakfast at Tiffany's" and "In Cold Blood" here. Jackie Kennedy visited him here.
The house sold in March 2012 for $12.5 million, the most expensive home sale ever in Brooklyn. The buyer is Dan Houser, founder of Rockstar Games, which made the Grand Theft Auto series.
Information herein was gleaned from the NY Times, 3/25/12, at RE MB 2, and a great blog called The Bowery Boys: New York City History, which has a lot more cool history about this house.
