About

This wonderful amusement park is a carousel lover's dream. It has the Grand Carousel, a 1913 George Kremer with horses carved by Charles Carmel. It also has the Kiddieland Carousel, built by Stein and Goldstein between 1910-1918. To top it off, it has a free carousel museum with approximately 50 pieces.
The photo below is of the Grand Carousel. The placard says that it was purchased in 1941 and opened in 1942, and its previous home had been the Riverside Park, Rahway, NJ. It was built by George Kremer in 1913 using a Looff platform and horses carved by Charles Carmel. Horses are 4 abreast, and it has 63 horses, 3 chariots and weighs 27 tons. It is gorgeous!
