"Developers want to recreate a 17th-century Lenni Lenape fort, village, and trading post on uninhabited Burlington Island," reports the Phila. Inquirer, 1/16/12, at p. B1.

The Philadelphia Inquirer of 1/24/12, at p. A2, had a good history of the island. It had been claimed by several countries through the years and its history is fascinating.
